data-index-in-node=\"0\">Background &amp; training:<\/b> <\/p><p>At the age of 17, I enrolled in the National School of Economics at UNAM. My interest in film, however, began much earlier, inspired in large part by my mother, who was an avid film lover.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">While I was in high school, an unexpected opportunity arose: students who wanted to be exempted from literature class could participate in the school production of Vicente Le\u00f1ero\u2019s <b><i>Los Alba\u00f1iles <\/i><\/b>(The Bricklayers), which would be performed at the end of the year in the school auditorium. Rehearsals would take place during class hours.<\/p><p>That immediately caught my attention. I thought, \u201cThis sounds like a good idea\u2014anything to avoid that class. How many lines could they possibly give me? Ten? Twenty?\u201d So I raised my hand.<\/p><p>During rehearsals, however, I discovered something that completely changed my perspective: in theater\u2014and in the performing arts more broadly\u2014it is not only what you say that matters, but how you say it. That experience awakened my love for the arts.<\/p><p>Alongside my university studies, I studied acting at the Andr\u00e9s Soler Institute, and acting ultimately became one of my greatest passions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element I later joined the cast of Televisa\u2019s <span style=\"color: #ffff99\"><i>Cach\u00fan Cach\u00fan Ra Ra!<\/i><\/span>, playing the character Paco.<\/p><p>The series became a major television phenomenon in the early 1980s, breaking ratings records and attracting a large youth audience.
